I would like to request a reschedule in the flight that I have missed before.
A week ago, on the 10th October 2025, I booked a flight to New York city from London airport. The flight was on October 13th at 1 pm. The airplane was scheduled to have a stopover in Canada, airport of Montreal, for about and hour and 30 minutes and then head directly to New York. On the same day, I went through the check in procedures in London and the responsible informed all passenger that luggage needs to be collected in Montreal first and then sent to New York. These instructions were very unusual as generally luggage is sent directly to the main destination even if there was a stopover during the flight. Unfortunately, the stopover was too short to collect luggage and send it again to New York. And because of this problem, I missed my flight and stayed stuck at the airport of Montreal. I had to take an airplane back to London and my meetings in New York were cancelled.
due to the prior issue, many important meetings were cancelled and the clients were furious. Some of the potential clients came all the way from China to explore our proposals for partnership and ended up cancelling the whole deal.
I would like to request a reschedule of my flight as soon as possible because the company has various meetings that have been hanging since that day. And if I don’t at least close one deal, I risk losing my job. I hope you understand how serious the issue is.
