Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about a problem at the airport which caused me to miss my flight to London last Saturday.
I arrived at the airport three hours before my flight, so I thought I had enough time to check in and go through security. However, there was a problem with the security machines and only one was working. Because of this, the queue was extremely long and I had to wait for almost one and a half hours. When I finally went through security, the boarding had already finished and I was not allowed to get on the plane.
Missing my flight made me many problems. I had a hotel booked in London and I was also supposed to meet my friend there. I had to buy another flight, which was much more expensive. I also had to pay for an extra night at an airport hotel.
I would like to ask for a refund of the extra costs or some compensation for the inconvenience. I believe the airline should take responsibility for this situation.
I hope you will consider my request and answer me as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
