Dear Sir or Madam,
I was supposed to be a passenger on the flight from Dubai to Paris on the 22nd of May at 12:00 p.m. However, I am writing this letter to report a problem at the airport that prevented me from taking the flight.
I was waiting at the terminal at 11:00 a.m. when a fire broke out. The security guards evacuated the place. A number of passengers had already boarded the plane, while I was evacuated to the airport lobby. I was not notified by the airport staff about my flight. It apparently took off with the passengers who successfully reached the plane.
I was supposed to join a work conference in Paris. It is an event that is held annually. Therefore, our company missed the chance to be represented this year. We also lost potential business partnerships that will affect this year’s productivity. Furthermore, I missed the chance of connecting with leading professionals in the market and potential business partners.
Since your airline company prides itself on presenting the best services, I would like to request compensation in the form of a round-trip ticket to next year’s event. Also, a written apology to my company would be appreciated. The company should be notified that this was not a matter of negligence on my side.
Thank you for reading this email, and your immediate action is appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Rahaf Nasser
