Upon arrival on October 14th at 12 pm for my flight to Ottawa, I faced an issue with your security staff at the check-in area. They alleged that my baggage exceeded the limit, despite my insistence that I had packed only essentials. After a thorough search that found no extra items, I was delayed and lost track of time, leading to me missing the boarding time. Consequently, I was informed by a flight attendant that the plane had already departed.
The experience left me feeling frustrated and stressed, as missing a flight was a first for me. Moreover, it had significant financial implications considering the substantial investment I made for a two-month trip to Ottawa. Hence, I am seeking reimbursement for the missed flight due to the airport’s mishandling of the situation.
It is clear that the conduct of your staff deviated from the standard procedures expected of your airline and was not in line with the service at other terminals. In light of this, I kindly request a full refund to address the inconveniences caused. As I am currently preparing for a trip to Britain next week and need to allocate funds for my London ticket, I believe it is necessary for you to take corrective action by either issuing a full reimbursement or providing a discounted ticket for the upcoming journey.
