Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at Heathrow Airport, which led me to miss an international flight operated by your airline.
On April 10th, I was booked on Flight AC849 from London to Toronto, scheduled to depart at 10:30 AM. Despite arriving over two hours in advance, I encountered a major issue at the automated check-in kiosks, which were not functioning. When I sought help, the queue at the customer service desk moved extremely slowly. By the time I reached the front, I was informed that the check-in had already closed, and I was no longer allowed to board.
As a result, I was forced to reschedule crucial meetings in Toronto and incur additional expenses for hotel accommodation and ticket rebooking. More significantly, I missed a business presentation that had taken weeks to prepare, costing my team a potential client.
Given that the issue arose due to a technical failure within your systems, I respectfully request that the airline refunds the £120 rebooking fee and considers reasonable compensation for the inconvenience and financial loss. I have attached supporting documents for your reference.
I hope this matter will be addressed promptly and fairly.
Yours faithfully,
Rahul Desai
