Band 8+: You read in a newspaper that a company is going to renovate some school buildings in your local area that are in a poor condition. You would like to offeryour help. Dear Sir,

I am writing to offer my services after reading in the newspaper that your company is going to renovate an old school building in my neighborhood. I have always wanted to modernize that school building since all the town’s children, including my own in the near future, attend that school.

I have experience in the field of painting and would like to volunteer to paint the walls of the school with my team members. Moreover, we are willing to do this free of cost.

Currently, I am painting a new building in a nearby state, but our contract will end next week. As soon as we finish, we will be available to start the school painting work. We can begin working at the site after office hours (5 pm), which is convenient for all of us as it is after our day shifts.
