Dear Best,
How are you doing? How are work and study going? Have you been able to find the balance between both? I remember that was a major concern the last time we spoke. I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. Sadly, I do not have such great news. I unfortunately cannot find the book you borrowed me.
Please accept my deepest apologies for misplacing your signed copy of the Harry Porter and the Goblet Fire book. This is your favorite book of the series, I feel so terrible for my carelessness causing the loss of something so precious and of great value to you. I cannot forget how happy you were when you got the signed edition. It was not my intention to cause this harm. I deeply regret this and I do hope you forgive me. I’m sorry.
I recently picked up some extra shifts at work, which implies that I return home later and exhausted than usual. I recall reading the book on the bus last week monday, after my shift. I thought I kept the book in my bag, when the bus got to my destination. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the book after I got home. It’s either the book fell off my bag while I was getting down from the bus or I left it on my seat. Either ways, I take full responsibility for the lost book.
To make it up to you, I have gotten the first edition of the book and registered at the upcoming con to get the book signed by the author afterwhich I’ll have it sent to you. I’m aware this doesn’t replace the original and its memories but I do hope this can feel the void. Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies. I’m deeply sorry.
Warm Regards,
Gogi.
