Dear Anant,

I hope you are doing well. I am your friend and am writing to inform you the current condition of the winter jacket that I borrowed from you last Sunday. First of all, please accept my sincere apologise for the damage, as the incident was caused due to a lack of care from my end.

Although I have always had taken good care of your items I failed to keep my promise this time. I borrowed the cloth to worn on my brother’s weeding, which was scheduled for last Monday, where someone accidentally dropped a glass of juice on me. As a result, your jacket became dirty.

Consequently, I sent it for dry-wash in the following morning. However, they did not guarantee to clean it fully. I would appreciate it if you could purchase another product from any e-commerce website if you need the same urgently. Furthermore, I request you to let me know the actual price of the new winter cloth. I will pay the amount, as the inconvenience was caused by me.

I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience.
