Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my concern regarding my missed appointment in your bank 3 days ago.

Firstly, the main reason I forgot about my visit is that my newborn baby got sick. To be precise, I had to go to the hospital immediately as she had a fever and a strong cough. I was totally in stress, so bank appointment escaped from my head.

Secondly, I would like to apologise for inconvenience that happened. I realize that your time is valuable, and you could assist other person instead of me. Nevertheless, I suppose that this situation is understandable, and I could provide all the documents from the hospital as a proof.

Therefore, I opine that it is fully legal to ask you not to charge extra fee for me not attending, as this occasion can be understood, and the issue might be resolved.
