Band 8+: You recently read an article in the newspaper about someone you know personally. You found some information is wrong. Write a letter to the editor to inform him about it. In your letter what the article is about what the error is what you expect the editor to do

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to you about your recent article of a person whom I know personally. The article was titled ‘Local Businessman Creates Impacts on the Community’ and it well stated how that person’s personal life and achievements.

While this article creates an impact in the community positively, there was a significant error I found, and hence I wanted to bring this to your attention. The article states that the person has a Ph.D. from New York University, but actually, he achieved his doctorate from Brooklyn University. Since I was one of his colleagues, I wanted to correct this information.

Being a well-known and reputed newspaper for many long years, this article will reach lakhs of people in our society. It will provide false information about his studies to them, and this can decrease the confidence and reputation among the people about your newspaper.

I hope you will consider my concern and take necessary actions to make the correction. I am willing to see the correct information in the future editions.
