Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you regarding a claim on the insurance policy that I took out with your company last month.
Whilst on a two-week vacation in Cairo, I unfortunately had my laptop stolen. Although I had had my laptop for a fortnight, it contained a great deal of my work as well as photographs and personal information. Therefore, it will take me a large amount of time to recover the work I lost. Moreover, I have had to spend an immense amount of time contacting banks and financial institutions to cancel my credit cards and make sure that whoever stole my device could not access my accounts.
While I was on my second day of my stay, my computer was stolen from my hotel room. I had securely locked my room and gone out hiking, and when I returned, the item was missing. I immediately contacted the hotel’s receptionist, who was unable to explain how the gadget had been removed from my room.
Having read the terms and conditions of my insurance policy, I believe I am eligible to make a claim both for the value of the computer itself and for the time I spent dealing with the repercussions of the theft. I would be grateful if you could send me the relevant forms and guidance notes on how to complete them.
Please feel free to contact me if you require further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Mohamed Anwar
