Dear sir or madam,

I am writing regarding an advertisement published in City Life newspaper on January 25, Sunday, where volunteers are required for the upcoming Environment Protection campaign, which will commence the next week starting on Monday.

I am a passionate social worker and currently work for a non-profit, non-governmental organization. My residence is near the city park which is very close to your head office, so I can easily join the project without the hassle of commuting. Moreover, helping the community accelerates my motivation and energies, and in my view such programs are important for the society’s well-being.

As an avid community worker, I am eager to offer help, together with my team, for the cleaning week and planting 100 trees, which is my main interest apart from the other activities. We can start picking the litter around the children’s playground because it is always full of rubbish and then dispose this waste into the large waste bin located outside the playground. Apart from this, planting trees around the housing scheme will serve as a provoking activity because local residents will also feel encouraged and excited to lend a helping hand in this engaging process.

Fortunately, my office hours, in the NGO, are very less and I am usually free after 4 pm, so the rest of the day I am totally unoccupied, and can help with your project conveniently. In addition, the weekends are also off and I can utilize this period for other tasks included in this project.
