The bar graph compares the number of people,who had access to news through four different types of media – television, newspapers, radio, internet – in a country in the years 2013,2015 and 2017.
Overall, it is clear that while the percentage of population accessing news via television, newspapers and radio were going down through the period in question, Internet saw a continuous rise.
Looking at the details, in 2013, the most popular mass media to obtain news was television,with the percentage of just under 80. In the year 2015, despite falling sharply to just above 70% , the figure then rose in 2017, ending the period at around 71%. By contrast, figures for printed newspapers went in the opposite direction, starting the period at about 41%, it then saw a steady downward trend finishing at 21% in 2017.
In terms of Radio and internet, they shared an equal statistics in 2013, approximately 31%. Whereas internet started to become popular in the years 2015 and 2017, with 41% and about 70% respectively, radio went down slightly, to 30% and has not experienced any changes the following year.
