The two diagrams illustrate the map of the base floor of the museum in 1990 and in 2010

The most noticeable change was in the north area and also the south area, where there are some additional and changes in those spots.

In 2010, the gift shop was wider because there was a new cafe shop which is included in the area of the gift shop, while the opposite side was changed from the archaeology gallery to a children’s interactive zone. At the right corner of the layouts, the local history room was separated from one room in 1990 into two rooms in 2010; a local history room which was smaller and a poster display area. Moreover, the area was also changed from the private area which separated by wall in 1990 changed to open space area in 2010

In the bottom left of the layouts, there is no additional spot or changes except the position of reception counter changed into a diagonal position and faced the entrance more directly. Although there are some changes and additional sides, some of the side remains the same such as the museum office, and natural history room.
