The charts illustrate the rates of happiness of the people at various ages and two types of workers in Europe in the last four weeks.

Overall, the rates of unhappy people rose with the age, and youngest age group accounted for the largest share of always happy people. Part-time employed individuals represented the slightly higher frequency of happiness than full-time employees.

Regarding the age groups, 16-24-years-old people showed the largest share of always happy people, at 71.5%, while people aged 25-34 made up 65.7% and the oldest group stood at 58.9%. In contrast, less frequencies mostly found in the elderly people, at 28.9% for 35-49 group, 24.8% for 25-34 group and only 21.6% for the youngest people. Similarly, 12.2% of 35-49 aged people felt unhappy most of the time, while only 6.9% of 16-24-years-old people experienced that condition.

Turning to employment categories, the highest frequency of happiness was observed in 64.4% of full-time employed workers and in 66.5% of part-time working people. 26.4% of full-time workers feel happiness some of the time, whereas that figure for part-time employees stood at 24.3%.
