The bar chart below compares the percentage of the total global population in India, China, USA and Japan during a period of 52 years starting from 1950 as well as the forecast for 2050.
It is clear that China and India are the world leading countries in terms of percentage of the worldwide population respectively. By contrast, USA and Japan make up the lesser percentage of global population according to the bar chart.
In 1950, China makes up the highest percentage of the world’s population with a percenatge of 23 thus the percentage continues to fall by a significant amount and it is expected to hit a low of 15 in 2050.On the other hand India is the second leading country with a percentage of 15 in 1950 which is then followed by a rise upto 17 percent; the rise is expected to continue in 2050.
The other two countries make up the lesser percentage of the total world population. During 1950 and 2002 both countries follows a declining trend. USA is expected to maintain the same percentage in 2050 while Japan percent is expected to drop to a low of 2 percent.
