Overall, the ratio of home owner was higher compared to other categories in both years. Moreover , the total number of homes also increased from 22 million in 1991 to 27 million in 2007 years. In contrast ,the proportion of social housing declined from 6% in 1991 to 2% in 2007.
The percentage of private renting in the United Kingdom also decreased from 23% in 1991 to 17% in 2007. However, the social renting ratio was remain same in both years. Conversely, the house owners proportion increased from 60% in 1991 to 70% in 2007.
The home owners in UK has higher ratio compared to rented apartments in both 1991 and 2007. Additionaly, the ratio of social houing and renting dropped in 2007. In contrast, Only the categories which was increased in 2007 is apartment owners.
