The bar chart illustrates the frequency percentage of people in the USA who are eating at fast-food restraurants in the years 2003, 2006 and 2013.
Overall, it is clear that people who ate in the restaurants ‘once a week’ and ‘once or twice a month’ have the highest percentage. In contrast, people who ate in the restaurants ‘everyday’ and ‘never’ recorded the lowest values.
The data shows the number of people who ate out everyday as well as people who never ate out showed similar values throughout the years. Both categories remained unchanged in 2006 and 2013, however higher in 2003. ‘few times a year’ at around 13% in 2003, by 2006 and 2013 values remained same and rose to 15%.
People who ate out once a week was just above 30% . By 2006 the number rose to approximately 35%, and then declined below to around 27% in 2013. Once or twice a month preferency was 30% in 2003, then declined to 25% in 2006 then increased significantly to approximately 35% in 2013.
Highest value of the chart in 2003, as well as in 2006 showed who prefered to eat out once a week. People preffered ‘Once a week’ in 2006 and ‘once or twice a month’ in 2013 almost equal.
