The pie charts illustrate the distribution of weekly working hours in three groups of workers, namely employees, owners/managers and the total workforce in Australia in 2001.
It can be easily seen from the graph that the percentage of long-hour worker was prominent, while the reverse was true for that of full-time worker
Regarding the employees, the percentage of people working full-time was 38%. This was followed by that of people who worked over 41 hours per week at 38%. 29% was the proportion of workers spending under 35 hours per week to work.
In terms of the owners/managers, the majority of workers (67%) worked long hours. The percentages of workers in full-time and part-time were smaller than that of workers in long hours, accounting for 19% and 14%, respectively.
According to the total workforce, 40% were the sharing of people spending over 41 hours a week for work. The percentage of part-time workers was 33%, and this figure of full-time workers was 27%.
