The combination of line graph and pie chart together present amount of money spent by tourists and several reasons of travelling ,respectively over the course of 30 year period.
Overall, it can be noticed that foreign visitors spent more money between 1980 and 2010. Although there were significant fluctuations in money spent by tourists during 30 years, the general increase in financial expenditures among them in nearly one and half times can be found. As for travel purposes, their proportions nearly stayed the same except meeting family or friends and other categories. The most common travelling goal was spending holiday in both years.
During 30 year period, amount of money spent was not increasing consistently. The downfall of financial expenditures was between 1980 and 1985 years marking below 7,500 milions of pounds, while the peak was witnessed between 1995 and 2000 years reaching 12,000 milions of pounds. Moreover, it can be clearly seen that amount of money spent by tourists in fisrt 15 years fluctuated more around 9,000 milions of pounds compared to the second half of period where these dynamics took place around 10,500 milions of pounds.
Pie chart demonstrates that after 30 years ranking of travel purposes did not undergo any changes. However, percentage distribution of seeing family members or friends and business categories overall rose and constituted half of pie chart. Whereas other travelling option became less popular by two times in 2010.
