The following graph illustrates the number of produced films and ticket sales in cinemas, both in percentages, in one country over a decade (1996 to 2006).

The ratio of films that were screened over a decade displays a stark difference between three film genres (comedy, drama, and fantasy) in 1996 and 10 years later. In 2006, drama movies were produced approximately 10% higher than in 1996. In comedy and fantasy films, producers were much more active, about 5% higher in comparison to 10 years before.
The frequency of cinema ticket sales shows that in 2006, the number of people who were interested in going to the movies in cinemas in drama, comedy, and fantasy genres became larger than in 1996—well over 5% in drama and nearly 5% in comedy and fantasy genres. Although a decrease has been observed in interest in watching romance movies, it was less than 5% in 2006.
