As it can be seen from the graph, the quantities of shop openings witnessed a downward trend over the period. There was a steadily fall from 2011 to 2012 and continued falling between 2014 and 2015, with approximately 4,000 stores. However, during 2012 to 2013, the amounts of these categories has dramatically increased and ended up with about 6,000. The numbers remained stable from 2015 and finally stopped at 3,000.

During the period from 2011 to 2014, the figures of shop closed fluctuated, then there was an extremely fall to under 1,000. After that, the number of store closures increase sharply with more than 5,000. These remained stable for the next two years, with roughly 5,000 shops in 2018.

Overall, these two categories show a different range with various figures, but the number shop openings seem more stable than those of closures. After 2017, the number of the opening ones continue increasing, meanwhile the closing doors show the oppose.
