On average, students spend around £125 on food and this is one third of what they spend on rent. Moreover, they allocate equal amounts of money on bills and socialising. Travel costs are the least for the UK students and its around £52.
When analysing the means of income of the students in the UK, more than 80% of the students fund their education through student loans. An equal proportion of students are supported by their families and by working part-time, which is about 70%. Around 50% of students use bank overdraft and savings as their funding options while the percentage of students who use grants and funding are about 45%.
