The column chart depicts the proportion of children from 5 to 15 years old who participated in four kinds of activities, namely watching TV, reading comics, playing video games, and riding bikes, in a European country in 2009.
Overall, the vast majority of all responders watched TV as an activity in 2009. Meanwhile, the remaining three types had almost the same attendance, except for riding a bike among teenagers. This activity was as popular as watching TV among adolescents.
According to the bar chart, watching TV recorded the highest percentage among all three age groups, reaching approximately 90% among children from 5 to 8 years old and around 79% among children from 9 to 15. Meanwhile, most teenagers chose riding a bike as frequently as watching TV. This figure made up almost 79%. In terms of less popular activities, the percentage of children who played video games was the lowest among all groups. It resulted in 62% for toddlers from 5 to 11 and 38% among adolescents.
As for other activities, while reading comics had almost the same popularity among all responders, reaching 63% in average, the percentage of riding bikes differed significantly. The latest activity was more popular with teenagers, whose percentage accounted for 79%. Meanwhile, its percentage among other two groups was roughly 60%.
