Above graph illustrates leisure time in a typical week in hour, by sex and employment status during the period of 1998 to 1999.

Overall,unemployed people along with retired people including both males and females had the highest leisure hours which was around more than 80 hours for men and for women it was about more than 70 hours.Employed men had the leisure hours which were in forties,which was the lowest among males during that period.In addition, employed females had the least leisure hours which was between 30 to 40,compared to males during that period.

Housewives had 50 hours of leisure time in a week.Moreover,employed people who were doing part time jobs were females and they had leisure time of 40 hours in a week.
