The maps illustrate the current layout of a town and the proposed changes to its development in the future.
Overall, the town is expected to undergo considerable redevelopment, with the introduction of additional educational and recreational facilities, new housing arrangements and improved road infrastructure. The most notable changes will be the replacement of the shops with a main road and the construction of a leisure centre.
At present, the town contains a river running roughly from north to south, with a bridge crossing it in the northern part of the area. A road approaches the bridge from the west, while a park is situated to the north-east of the river. On the western side, there are two car parks and a housing area, with one car park located above the housing and the other below it. To the east of the river, a shopping area occupies much of the central section, while a school is positioned in the south-eastern corner.
Under the proposed plan, the park will be retained, although a path will be constructed through it. The existing shops will be replaced by a main road running eastwards from the bridge. In addition, the western side will be reorganised: the housing area will be moved further north, one car park will remain nearby, and the other will be replaced by a leisure centre. A second leisure centre will be built farther south on the same side.
Finally, the eastern side will feature two schools instead of one, with one located in the north-east and the other in the south-east. The river and bridge will remain largely unchanged.
