Overall, it is clear that while the percentage of robbers stealing car and house increased, the opposite was true for street robbery over the period. Additionally, during most of the period, the lowest figure can be seen in street robbery.
In 1970, the number of crimes, who stole car stood at 0.4%. Over the following 15 years, the percentage of car theft increased significantly to about 1.4% in 1985 ( the highest ratio of crimes that year ). After that, it decreased dramatically to just under 1% in 1995. Following it, the percentage witnessed a slight drop to 0.8% in 2000.
In contrast, the level of robbers stole the street stood at under 0.2%, which is the smallest level of crimes in 1970. From 1970 to 1985, there were no substantial changes in the street robbery. And the following period of years, the number remained stable at around a half of 0.2% from 1985 to 2000. While, the percentage of house burglary in 1970 stood at nearly 0.4%. From 1970 to 1990, the figure of thief rose considerably from around 0.4% in 1970 to 0.6% in 1990, and then fell steeply to 0.4 in 2000.
