The graph below delineates the amount of money spent on three different categories – agriculture, manifucturing, business and financial over a 100 year period spanning from 1900 to 2000.
A cursory glance at the data reveals that the business and financial underwent a significant escalation, whereas the other two sectors experienced a significant decline. Most notable the business sector became dominant category by the end of timeframe.
Regarding the upward trend the financial sector commenced the period at a low figure of roughly 5%. This was followed by a period of an exponential growth rising to 30% by the close of the period.
Conversely, the agriculture and manifucturing sectors exhibited a starkly different trend. Starting at much higher figure of 48% agriculture plummeted to a mere figure of 2%. This downward shift was characterized by a exponential drop representing itself as the least prevalent category. In the same vein the manifucture went down sharply but steadily falling from 45 to 15%
