The illustration depicts the different stages in nurturing the pineapple crowns into a fully grown fruits and the steps in processing the fruit into three products which consists of pineapple juice cartons, caned pineapple slices, and whole fruits.
Initially, the pineapple sapplings are spaced 26 centimeters apart from each other and planted at a tempreture range of 23 celcius to 30 celcius. After 7 months of growth, the grown plants are sprayed with a chemical solution called ethaline. Subsequently, a grown fruit, after a year of growth, will weigh around 2 kilograms and reach at approximently 30 centimeters in height.
Before entering the processing phase, the fruits are throughly washed with water and seperated for different products. The steps taken in order to produce pineapple juice include removing the the fruit’s top leaves, slicing it into smaller peices, extracting the liquid from the cutted up fruit, and packaging it into a carton. Furthermore, canned pineapple has a simmilar process. After slicing the pineapple into rings, the rings can be cutted into smaller peices or canned instantly. Moreover, in order to transport whole pineapple fruits, they are first coated with a layer of wax and arranged in a crate.
