Overall, initially, Poland had been the biggest importer before Sweden took over the rankings. It can be seen that the total value of imported seafood increased throughout the decade.

In 1987, Poland had been the largest seafood exporter to the UK at an all-high of 65% in value. It had been followed by Sweden and Germany with 28% and 7%, respectively. However, the distribution seafood from Sweden had skyrocketed to 40%, surpassing the amount of seafood from Poland in 1997. By 2007, Sweden and Germany slightly increased in amount of exports. In contrast, Poland experienced a modest decline.

Evidently, as time passed by each decade, the amount of imported seafood increase gradually. From 1987 to 1997, the value shifted from 7.4 to 9.10 million dollars. Apparently, the change in 2007, when compared to from the prior decade, was overwhelming as it increased by 3.2 million, doubling the increase.
