The image displays two diagrams of water supply systems, one representing the present and the other illustrating the future. Both diagrams contain components identical in structure: "Dam/Storage", "Water treatment plant", "Households", "Shops", "City", and "Factilities". In the present diagram, almost all water flows from "Water treatment plant" to "Households", "Shops", "City", and "Factories" as pure water, with a small amount diverted to the river as waste water. The future diagram shows additional connections diverting storm water and waste water to the water treatment plant, reducing the amount of water ending up in the river.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The given picture illustrates the water supply system in Australia present and in future.

Overall, there are a few things that remained unchanged and some new things have been introduced in the system.

In the present water supply system, we see that pure water flows from dam to a city to be used by households, shops, and factories. From there storm water is being transferred directly to the river and waste water is flowing towards the water treatment plant first and then towards the river. I think, thus the river water is being polluted day by day.

To prevent river water pollution, few steps will be added to the current system. In the future water supply system, water will be brought to the city for the same uses. From there storm water and waste water will be transferred to the water treatment plant. After purification, pure water water will be supplied to the same city to use. In this sysem, no storm or waste water will be added to the river water.
