Dear Peter,
I hope you and your family are doing well. I hope Tima excelled in her final exams of her medical degree in P.H.d. How are you adjusting to moving to the Canadian School of Business?
I still remember how difficult it was to move from Hyderabad to Mumbai for just two grades of my schooling journey. I know it must be hard to move miles away from your place of birth and to start a whole new life from the beginning. Changing schools might be challenging to make new friends. But do you remember how we became good friends? In fact, at first, we used to ignore each other, and it didn’t start on the best note. And look where we are now, close best friends. I’d say the best way is to find out any common similarities or hobbies you and your friend both like. Being an extrovert and communicating without any hesitation is the key.
Participating in extra-curricular activities will be the easiest way to connect and talk to students in your class and school. I remember your enthusiasm to play badminton after classes, connecting with friends during play will be another suggestion.
At last, I’d say do as your heart says. Forced friendship won’t last for a long time as well. So, take your time and find the best companions whose thinking resonates the most with you. Anyone will be lucky to have a friend like you, as I’m!
Best Wishes,
Fiza
