Dear Alex,

How are you and your family? How is work going? I hope it is not too stressful.

I visited your office yesterday to check on you, but I was told that you had stepped out to see a client. I understand that it was an impromptu visit, so I was not disappointed.

The purpose of writing this letter is to inform you about a job I have been applying for over the past two months. It is a customer service position at the French Embassy. Luckily, I received a response from them during the weekend, but unfortunately, it was written in French.

I am in need of a translator who can help me translate it quickly so that I can respond to them as soon as possible. I found out that this is the second phase of the recruitment process, and quick responses are also part of the criteria they consider when selecting candidates.

Since you were unavailable when I visited your office, I will send the message to you via email so you can help me translate it, as I believe that would be the fastest option.
