Dear Itunu,

I am so sorry for writing to you this late. It was never my intention to miss your birthday dinner. I am sorry once again, my dear friend.

The reason I could not attend your dinner party was that on that very day I was meant to turn in a document at the office but I could not because my team member was unable to finish analysing the data we need to add to the document. The document was very important for the pitch presentation that will be happening the next day and failure to turn it in could lead to query. Due to this, we stayed at the office so that we could finish it before heading home. Unfortunately, we finished after midnight.

Although, I called Tara by midnight but she told me that party has ended. So, I just head home. I know that dinner party was very important to you and with the fact that you want all your friends have a picture with you before your relocation. I want to make it up to you. I will love if we can all hang out next weekend at the new bar down the town. That way, we can create that memory.
