Dear Mr. Ahmed,
I am writing to request a reduction in my working hours so that I can pursue part-time studies to enhance my professional skills.
As you know, I have always aimed to improve my qualifications and performance at work. Recently, I have been accepted into a part-time Diploma in Educational Leadership at Cairo University. This course will help me develop better management, communication, and leadership skills, which are essential for my current role as a senior teacher and will enable me to take on more responsibilities in the future.
I would like to reduce my working hours by finishing at 2 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for the next six months. I will ensure that all my classes are planned efficiently and that my workload is organised so there will be no disruption to students’ learning or the department’s performance.
I believe that these studies will benefit the school greatly, as I will gain updated knowledge and leadership strategies to support our team effectively and improve student outcomes.
Thank you very much for considering my request. I am happy to discuss this further at your convenience.
Yours sincerely,
Moustafa
