Dear employer
Hello. My name is Mason Kim and I am a marketing manager at your company. The reason why I am writing you a letter is to further discuss about your consideration in changing the working hours at our company. Personally, I also think that our working time is too long, so I was also going to complain to address this issue at some point.
I think reducing our working hours is a good idea. Currently, we work from 6 AM until 7 PM without any breaks or shifts. One of my colleagues was recently sent to a hospital because of his stress caused by too long operating hours along with his tasks in this long time.
Another colleague also complained about this issue. Because the company operates too long, she has no time to spend time with her family and friends after work. Also, her time for her hobby, such as exercise and study is also restricted.
Reducing the working hours seems to be a good idea for everyone because it gives us some time to do what we want to do after work.
The way how we can reduce the working hours is to hire more people so that tasks can be distributed equally so that one person does not have to do too much work, which can lead us to leave work early. Right now, there are much fewer workers than it has to be, so that is the biggest reason why we have to stay at work all day.
If we successfully reduce the working hours by hiring more people, it will definitely benefit our company because it would eventually reduce workers’ stress and increase the company’s profits as more people are hired.
In conclusion, reducing the working hours seems to have more pros than cons, which I think why you have to have a go with this plan. I would like you to think about adjusting the hours after reading my letter.
Thank you.
