Dear James,

I hope you’re doing well. I would like to thank you for inviting me at your birthday party on the 8th of November, but I cannot attend the party.

As you know, I am pursuing my Master’s Degree, and I have to submit a project before the 9th of November. This project is important to me because I’ll get the grades based on this assignment at the end of the semester.

However, we can meet after my exams. Be ready for your gift because I’m planning to buy a birthday present for you, and will give it to you whenever we will meet. I would buy a mobile phone, and I hope you would like it.

I think we should meet during Christmas. Either we can go to Shimla, or we canspend holidays at my place.

Don’t forget to reply. I will be waiting for you your response.
