Dear James,

I hope this message finds you well my friends, James. I am writing this email to inform you that I am not able to come for your marriage anniversary party next Saturday. Firstly, I really appreciate that you were invited for your amazing event, and congratulations for your wedding anniversary as well. Your inviting was so fascinating to me, and I wish to attend with all of my gratitude.

Regrettably, I am overseas because of the business trip which was scheduled suddenly, and I expect that this will take over 1 week or more. I tried to optimise the date for this trip later from your party, but I could not, regarding it as an important task that I must succeed in. I apologise for absent and ruining your feeling on such a amazing day.

However, I suggest you to have a dinner together after I come back from my business trip, when is Monday, 2 days after your party if you do not mind. My flight will land around early afternoon, so we can meet around 6pm.

Finally, I apologise again for missing your upcoming event, please check this letter and reply me if your possible to have dinner with my on monday. Hope we can make it.
