It has been observed that, in many countries, improving the quality of public transportation is a priority in urban development. Although some people belive that government should spend public money to roads and motorways, while others argue that they should fund and improve the public transport systems such as trams and railways. I agree the given statement to a larger extent. My inclination is elaborated in ensuring paragraph and relevant examples.
The foremost argument to justify my stand is that it gives people more comfort and possibilities. For instance, trambs help significantly reduce traffic congestion in busy urban areas and it is also give people more extra time. Besides this, it is also true that tramb is electric, so it produces no exhaust fumes, reduces air pollution and city’s overall carbon footprint.
Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is using public transport is cheaper than owning and maintaining a private car, for example, fuel, parking, repairs and insurance. In addition, the fact that many public transport systems have dedicated lanes or tracks, allowing them to move faster than cars in heavy traffic.
On the countrary, some people counter claim the mentioned support. The foremost argument they do is motorways allow vehicles to travel at higher speeds with fewer interruptions, making long-distance travel quicker and more efficient. To add to this, Well-developed road networks make it easier to transport goods, connect businesses, and improve trade between regions.
To conclude the discussion, it can be said that despite the fact of well-developed roads and motorways provide fast and flexible transportation, making travel more efficient for both people and goods, my reasons that railways and public transport systems offer efficient and eco-friendly travel options that help reduce urban congestion are logically acceptable.
