Many young generation today lack knowledge about their country’s customs and traditions. The cause for this is globalization and this is definitely negative trend to increasing.
One reason for this issue is the influence of globalization. Young people are exposed to cultures from around the world through the internet, social media, and television. They may spend more time engaging with foreign content, such as movies, music, and fashion, than learning about their own traditions. Additionally, modern education often focuses more on international topics, leaving less room for national history and culture. Another factor is urbanization. As people move to cities, they may adopt a faster, more modern lifestyle, which can make traditional practices seem outdated.
This development has both positive and negative sides. On the positive side, exposure to other cultures makes young people more open-minded and adaptable. They can connect with people from different backgrounds and understand global issues better. However, it can also be negative because losing touch with one’s own culture can lead to a loss of identity and a weakening of community bonds. Traditions are important for preserving a sense of belonging and continuity.
In conclusion, in my humble opinion while the reasons for this trend are understandable, it is mostly a negative development as it weakens cultural roots.
