In our generation some young people less recognize the traditions and culture of their home country. In my opinion, the possible reason can be lack of interest and it has negative effects for cultural value.
Some adults believe that modern young people show less and less interest in the culture and traditions of their country. Because globalization affects people, which show lifestyle abroad. As a result, they may think that their own traditions are not interesting and exacting as in other cultures. In addition, now we have a lot of new technologies, which the young generation use day to day. It means that they are focusing its other things that are older. School and family also matters about learning traditions. For example, if no one talks about national culture in school lessons or in family, students will not know. Children will have no way to know that.
When fewer people know the traditions and culture, there is negative development being created. That situation can mean that nations lose their traditional identity. One of the consequences is the weakness of patriotism. Loving your homeland, it is not about living there, it is also about being interested in history, language, traditions and other countries’ features. If a person is not interested in that aspect, he/ she would not realize his/ her identity for county.
In conclusion, young people do not know a lot about their own country due to their not being interested, while that situation has a negative development.
