Many people believe that, whether they were involved in an accident or not, individuals who were found under the effects of drugs or alcohol while driving should be banned from driving forever. I strongly agree with this because of the threat that they cause to society, and the fact that they cannot be trusted again.
All of those people who have been found under the effects of drugs are threatening society and our future. The lack of responsibility and the bad influence those people have will have negative impacts on others, especially on teens. Teenagers are not fully conscious of what is right or wrong, and they try to copy any new act they find it impressive, which makes them easy victims of those actions. Many new cases of driving under the influence of alcohol in the UK were committed by 18-to 20-year-old individuals, and the reports found that all those individuals have other family members committing the same mistake.
People who were found in this situation cannot be trusted. Most of those people will keep doing this act, due to the fact that they are not aware they are doing it in the first place, which is a significant reason why they should be banned. Most of them will get a warning that emphasizes not doing this ever again, and they may try to avoid driving under those conditions, but they do not have the consciousness to decide, and as a result, they will be involved in this again. A large portion of the incidence of driving under the effects of drugs that have been documented in Europe was committed by individuals who have done the same act in the past.
In conclusion, although it might sound quite tough to never give them another chance, I completely agree with this, due to the lack of responsibility and the negative impact they have on the young, and also due to the issue of trusting those people.
