In comparison to last decade, Online education has significantly changed today’s educational structure. Some people believe it has replaced the requirement of physical classrooms. I strongly disagree with this viewpoint as it is hard to foster some major benefits that online education lack. [9.36]
Traditional classrooms are hard to be eliminated due to many advantages. To begin with, in classrooms students focus and understand better as there is physical supervision present with them; Whereas, in online setting, it is hard not to get distracted as there are multiple loopholes to escape the study environment. some of the popular one’s are turning off camera, disconnecting wifi, using cell phones or television in background. Moreover, By getting one on one coaching, it can speed up the process of feedback. Asking doubts, getting review or personal advice is essential part of education and sometimes it can postpone quick feedbacks in digital learning.
Additionally, physical classrooms also helps to uplift personal development. It helps some children to raise themselves out of their comfort zones. For instance, through group activities children are provided a chance to participate and engage with fellow classmates, that encourages confidence. Furthermore, It is easier for teachers to observe and provide guidance, through live gestures and behaviors, which in online interactions can be a challenge to evaluate and judge.
On the contrary, there are some positive aspects on distant learning as well. Firstly, It is easier to access all the information provided by their professors to revise the syllabus or taking notes. Secondly, It saves hustle from travelling and being present in the classroom to get their education which is mainly a mental task. Thirdly, it is time effective. In some courses, lectures are being recorded and can be accessed at any given time. (33:11)
