Reading books plays an important role in shaping children’s lives. Therefore, some believe that academic books outweigh entertaining books in their benefits for youngsters. In my opinion, both varieties of reading are valuable to kids for two main reasons which I will discuss in this essay
On one hand, many people think that if their kids read educational books, they will improve their mental health and help them to speed up learning new skills related to the subjects they are studying in school. Novels, for instance, are not necessary for reading by their juniors and they will be a waste of time. yet, I am not supporting this aspect of view as I tend to the other prospective that children need to be introduced to all categories of books, the academic as well as the enjoyable books.
On the other hand, other parents believe that reading fascinating stories helps their kids to learn by having fun, so they will not get bored fast. Therefore, they will spend a lot of hours reading with interesting, which leads to getting plenty of information, vocabulary and skills. A prominent example is poems which let the readers experience a wide range of advanced words. This example indicates that doing learning through fun helps the youth use a better method to reach higher levels of education.
In conclusion, I firmly support that not only do educational books improve kids’ cultural development, but also an interesting book can do the same target.
