For many years, early humans have been using animals as a source of food and scientific research. However, some people consider that we should not misuse them. From my point of view, people can use animals for various necessities, but without causing harm and abuse. Moreover, people should not use it for amusement and experiments.
Firstly, since the Stone Age, people started to tame animals and hunt together in exchange for food and shelter. Year by year, pets and cattle adapted to life with humans. If we let them go to the wildlife, they would not survive. They have been accustomed to home. In addition, some endangered species of animals would become extinct in the wild. Zoos and sanctuaries will assist animals to live due to daily meals and a special territory for them. Therefore, there exist zoos and sanctuaries in order to prevent the declining number of extinction of rare animals.
On the other hand, eco-activists consider that animals should not be exploited in zoos and circuses, because of the cruelty, pain and unnatural conditions. There are common examples of teaching wild animals to teach a trick for the audience, they need to suffer. Trainers beat animals to make them perfect for play. In addition, scientists test their various research on mice, monkeys, etc., which is not humane treatment for them. Scientists have to take responcibilities on their lives.
In conclusion, both perspectives state different views. In contrast, people think that zoos and sanctuaries are better and will help animals to prevent extinction, while others say that it may bring pain and they must not be used for entertainment and experiments.
