Band 5+: A large number of young people cannot find a job when they leave university. What problems will youth unemployment cause for individuals and for society? What measures should take to help reduce unemployment?

In this modern era, the rate of unemployment is increasingly rising, especially for individuals who are educated. Unfortunately, the path to some high-powered jobs does not necessarily cross the university. There are many jobs which are run by almost illiterate people which can be a dreamy job for a university student. The worst case scenario is that these educated job seekers have to take a menial job working for such people.

Admittedly, when people spend a quality of time for gaining invaluable knowledge, from elementary school to postgraduate courses, and then they are unable to pursue a proper career that is relevant to their university major, they are highly likely to become disappointed. Furthermore, when such expert youth left jobless and some with a lack of knowledge take their place, the society will probably face some problems. This can be a serious problem in some jobs more than others, mainly those that contributes to serving people, such as serving as a medical staff.

To tackle this problem, if government stepped in to provide financial help to young educated people to run their own business or restricting the possibility of passing jobs from individuals to their relatives, who have no special skills, more opportunities would be available to young people. Moreover, declining the number of universities and give more attention to those with international recognition, the outcome students will probably be more reliable. Therefore, employers can propose them an important role that also suits their personality.

In conclusion, since the absence of expert youth in the society can have detrimental effect, some measurements have to be taken by the government in order to satisfy university students with a proper job.
