Some people assume that youngsters commit crimes under the influence of violent content in movies and television, which leads to more violence in society. I agree with this view because young people are easily influenced by what they watch. In order to reduce violence in our society, it is important to take control of media content and educate both parents and youth.
Firstly, violence on screen can affect how young people think and behave. Teenagers may copy or romanticize violent actions from their favorite characters, thinking that such behavior is exciting or acceptable in real life. Moreover, they may become less sensitive to real world violence, and they may not fully understand its consequences. Because many of minors are still developing emotionally, so they are more likely to be influenced by negative media.
To reduce violence in our communities, several steps can be taken. One effective solution is to put limits on violent content. For instance, age ratings and disclaimers should be clearly shown before movies or TV shows. Another solution is to educate parents to control what their children watch and discuss the difference between real life and fiction. School can also play a role by teaching students how to deal with anger and solve problems peacefully.
In conclusion, I believe that violence in media does affect young people and may lead to more violence in society. Young people are easily influenced by what they watch, they often copy violent actions, and they become less sensitive to real-world violence. To deal with this problem we need stronger control over violent media and provide better education for both children and their families.
