In recent years, the tourism industry has flourished which has helped inhabitants in both the economy and infrastructure. Hence, that raised the questions among detractors whether it is advantageous for depending on tourism as a main source of sale in some attractions or not; however I supposed that the disadvantages of tourism outweigh its advantages.
First and foremost, tourism helps people in both their economy and infrastructure. Destinations where tourists choose for holidays will have many opportunities for employment, international purchasing, international friendships,…For example, HaLong Bay- one of the most popular attractions in VietNam have created service industry, hospitality industry,… that encouraged the development of many companies. On the other hand, local inhabitants can apply for jobs in company to earn their living, so that reduce the number of unemployment in big cities.
It is undeniable that tourism can be the key factor for many countries to become the developed country. Nevertheless, touristry can also be source of problems if it is not well-managed. Firstly, I believe that make the bad consequences of the environment like: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, pollution,.. In modern world, the index of problems of environment in many cities, which have a large amount of tourist per year, are higher than others have not. For instance, Cat Ba island in Hai Phong province took the 3 place on the statistical tables which shows the sea has the most water pollution in VietNam. Secondly, I suppose not to depend on tourism as a revenue source. In reality, many cities had an economic crisis whole the time of Covid-19. Like Quang Ninh province had the lowest income through over 20 years and the main reason is the banning of the traveling industry at that time.
In conclusion, I think that tourism have the benefits outweigh the drawbacks if the governments have efficient management of the environment and financial campaigns. Especially, people need to help their hands on the progress of developing the economy and saving our habitat.
