In today’s globalized world, people are more concerned on becoming rich by working hard everyday. But I strongly believe rich people are consequently making more money, whereas, poverty is gradually growing among poor people. There are several causes for this like increased taxes, minimum wages etc. These problems can be mitigated by implementing numerous practices. This essay will outline the causes and solutions on how to can overcome these problems.

One of the key cause is taxes that common man is paying to the government. Increased GST/HST on every product purchased which is very difficult for a daily wage person to pay it. In addition many places pay their employees less than the minimum wage stated by government. Another major problem is salaries not paid on time by employers. For instance, a man who is working at an restaurant on daily basis barely earn 2000 CAD which is not sufficient for him to manage his family expenses all by himself. Accordingly to me these are the major causes of poverty.

On the other hand, through these solution poverty can be minimised all over the world. Firstly, government should concentrate on reducing or removing the tax for certain staple items which common man uses on daily basis. Secondly, finance authorities should keep track on companies, whether employees are paid on time every month. Also, government should start sponsoring for food banks and free education. For Example, in India 2010 many free schools were started by Indian government by promoting education. This can be followed by many other countries like African, Nepal where many kids are deprived from education.

In Conclusion, I believe government should consider reducing the tax, promote education and increasing the minimum wage every year, these initiatives will help to overcome poverty slowly all over the world.
