It is widely argued that students at university should be required to participate in volunteering work. I totally agree with this view as such approache can not only benefit the community and the people there, it can also provide students with several crucial qualities.
One major advantage of this suggestion is that when students volunteer, with various fields, in different aspects of life, they actually help develop the society and support citizens, especially those vulnerable groups including diadvantaged children, women and elderly. This also allow student to interact with people with different backgrounds and with different professions, helping them broaden their perspectives and participate into building close-knite community. Moreover, it could boost the sense of responsibilty and belonging to society, making them more productive.
Another benefit is that volunteering work can help students to develop new skills that cannot be acquired through academic education solely. This include teamwork and leadership as they are expected to work within groups. Furthermore, proplem solving and working under pressure can be learned from the challenges they could face throughout the work. Being involved in a work environment provides them also with experience. Therefore, volunteering for students help them to put theory into practice as well prepare them for their future careers.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that university students need to work as volunteers because of the potential positive impacts they could make in their communities. This involve supporting people, especially those in need, and improving valuable skills that could help them in their futures.
